Seriously though, if self defense becomes an issue. Do what you have to do, BUT id recommend beating him were he'd feel it the most.

Im sure you can easily gather witness's that have been irritated by him. Then, sue him for harassment/assault. Get whatever damages your lawyer can milk out of him (ie. his parents, because until the age of 18 they are legally resonsible for his actions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ) and after his mommy & daddy find out their little boy has been such a little prick (and cost them a lot of $$) they'll most likley take away his toys. Once his toys are gone, his freinds will probably leave too.

In short, you profit, you get ride of an idiot and he gets punked by getting hit shit taken away and losing his friends.

I dont see whats not to like & its something he'll NEVER forget.

I had this same problem, my gf at the time had an ex bf that was like 16 while I was 19. He started sendin me emails sayin him and a buddy were gonna kick my as$ in town, parents tried to get me fired from my job, and sue the company I work for, just ignore them, he'll get what's comin to him.

p.s.

now the kids is like 17, his parents blew all their lawsuit money (sued the state prison, not my work) and he has a kid on the way, no career (mows lawns in summer)......people get what's comin to them imo

The solution is to just ride it out and try to avoid unnecessary altercations. However, the al baseball bat is always on call.

My .02 is to laugh, not really laugh but snicker, at his bravado and antics and wait for Karma, good 'ol Karma, to settle the score.

It will be very hard to prove self defense when a minor is involved, especially considering his "boys" will probably lie through their teeth blaming you.

If you do decide to go the "black mask and baseball bat" way I suggest the knee rather than the head. Way more fun to watch him limp around.

Look, there really is no way to prove who hit who first other than witnesses. Get a bunch of your friends around to counter all of his witnesses. The cops will not even want to deal with it because it would be a waste of time. Or just ignore him...
