What is in the place where the deck used to be?

Well it has the factory climate control unit with a built in headunit. We picked up a dash kit for it also but it looked real ugly, so we ended up with this. Ill probably have some vids up for you guys tonight so stay tuned 2 12" Type R's, and Ill have another thread with some vids of my 2 12" RL-Ps of a MD2

Where are those videos?!?!?! I have a 97 Taurus SHO, and can't put a deck in the factory spot due to the electronic climate controls. I was thinking of either putting it where the ashtray is, or in the center console, like you did. the only problem with putting it in the center console is having to open and close it just to change volume and overthing. Also, I like to use the armrest. Is there anyway around having to open it all the time?

the remote control my friend. you could mount the face plate somewhere and have the cd player part in another, if ur skilled enough to do that. but that looks good man. what are you going to cover it in now?

Not sure on what it will be covered with now, havent talked with the guy in a little while, even though he lives across the street lol.

Videos are on delay, someone came by my house the other night and threw my address post through the back window of my car:crap: The armrest is still functional but it is kind of a hassle to open and close it when you need to adjust the headunit, my buddy hasnt really complained about it or had any problems yet though.

How would I go about doing this? Putting the faceplate somewhere, and the rest of the unit in another place, that is. I would need some type of connector from the part where the faceplate plugs into the actual head unit. Could I get one of these from somewhere? Or have it made by somebody? Has this been done before?
