those are some of the most unique (weird) kick panels ive ever seen....how do they sound? they look like they point RIGHT at the passenger and driver...what speakers are those?

JL XR 653 3-way comps. They are pointed directly at the headrest of both seats. Don't know how they sound yet as i'm putting the x-overs in tomorrow. The brake pedal sits behind the kick panel far enough for it to extend both ways so i have no problem there. Now the emergency pedal is useless but i've never used it ;P.

got 'em put in, but all i got out of them was engine noise when i first turned htem on. i talked to dave and he said that lumina's / monte carlo's are notorious for engine noise so I might just have to take a trip to d&b and get a noise supressor for the RCA.

for some reason in monte carlo's / luminas i always get horrible engine noise. I would try some new grounds.

Good luck getting the engine noise problem figured out. It can be a real ***** sometimes.

just got back from d&b and installed the ground loop isolator. problem solved!!!! squeak i might come up this weekend and have you help me tweak it a little bit these things are a freakin great improvement from stock door speakers!

there are.

I'd guess it's coming from his passive xovers. I think I read it in a Dave Navone reply. Something about the coils inside them picking up ground noise. He suggested insulating the coil.

Well today when i was driving home from work i heard the noise ;P. It's not too bad just a high humming noise when there is no song playing. when there is music coming out of the comps the noise is pretty much inaudible (unless you stick your ears right next to 'em). I haven't even messed with the x-over's at all. They are both set on REF at this point and time.

By the way the xovers are under my front seat at least 6 feet away from the battery and what not.
