Fiberglass Console box

I was wondering anyone have any expierence with doing console boxes? I dont know if I should go with all fiberglass...or build the sides and bottom with mdf or fiberglass...me my dad and brother would be doing this....what do yall think?

if sides are flat use mdf same as bottom if its flat, use glass for the top.

There is no reason to do flat surfaces out of solid glass, it will be weaker and much more coslty than a single sheet of MDF.

I made one.

Here is a really short summery of the build:

I first made a top out of random bits of plastic (an old HU adapter that the cd player fit into, cup holders I bought from autozone, a little tray for screws and such I bought from a hardwere store, et cet era). They're all held together with epoxy from the bottom and smoothed out with bondo on top. Then I made a mold of the floor pan with fiberglass. I used wood dowls to hold the top over the mold and I filled in the space with expanding foam (3 cans). I carved the foam to the desired shap and fiberglass around it. The fiberglass reacted with the foam underneath it and it came out pretty ugly, but I fixed it with lots of kitty hair and bondo. Then I painted it. It took a very long time, I'm embarrassed to say. I would never try it again.
