fi vs alpine, sql vs spl

hey everyone. my plans for 2 12" alpine type r's with a hifonics amp kind of backfired awhile ago when i began having car trouble. i'm starting to look again, and i'm starting to consider maybe going one 12" fi q, or similar sq speaker. my question is will any of these come close to hitting as hard as 2x12 type r's, or i guess is the sound quality going to be worth losing some dbls? i listen to mostly house and other electro music, so i want the bass to be tight and clear. my girlfriend has one 12 jbl (don't know which one, her dad bought it, sealed box) and it really sounds muddy. it doesn't seem like it even keeps up with electro, but it does sound great with rap.

i'm sorry if this is kinda jumbled.
