Fi SSD 10"

AudioQue SDC2.5 10"

RE SX 10"

DC Level 3 10"

RD Sonance D2

Which would perform best being fed an audiopipe mini (1000W @ 1 ohm, 600W @ ohms) in 1.3 cubes ported? I'm leaning towards the SX because a d2 so it could take the full 1000 watts but idk

Looking for about 70% SPL %30 SQ. I just dont want it to be a one-note wonder.

i would say DC or RE, had a 15" SX and they get loud but the lvl 3s are SQL subs but can take 1000rms if ur careful
yeah i was really considering the RE because its rated at 1000W and its a dual 2 so it's perfect, but need to find out about building a box for it

Box size and tuning will determine whether or not the sub will be a 1-note-wonder 99% of the time. Some subs are just hopeless in ported boxes, but most of the time you can make anything sound decent.

With that said, the older SX is hard to beat for the price. SSD or LVL3 would be my next choice.

I would get the DC or the RE. I love my sx 10 by far the best subs ive owned considering the price. Can take well over rated, have heard of them taking 1500 under the right conditions. Sq and spl and also can take well over 1k, not too mention cost well under $160 each.

Hmm the SX is looking good so far, and the one i found one ebay is the older one i believe? Because i've seen ones with covers over the motor, but the ones im looking at dont have the plastic cover?

Right, the old ones are raw motor, nothing plastic on them...the newer junk has all that crap on it.

I say the DC cause I have one for sale. Lvl 3 with lvl 4 coil and extra spider. Just saying, lol.
I'd get it if it wasnt d2 :/

Yeah im looking at an older one, but i saw some stuff on youtube and a guy was running a single SX12 off a Sundown 1200, and he said it sounded better and louder at 35Hz rather than 33Hz, what do you guys think would be a good frequenct to tune 1.3 cubes to?

Tuning higher gives you a bigger peak, so it will be louder...but at the same time will not have as much low-end extension as a lower tuned box...it's all give and take.
