Fi Q 15 Sealed Box Question. Sketch Up Picture!

Ok, well I just designed my sealed box for my 15" Fi Q.

The specs come out to be:

External Dims: 21" deep x 21" wide x 12" high

I got 2.3cu ft before driver disp and right around 2.1cu with driver disp (.18cuft)

Can some just double check the calculations for me? And also, has anyone used a box like this with their 15" Q? I am running it off around 1000w btw.

sorry i dont have any better input...but i was thinking about trying out my 18Q sealed at some point when i can get a build in cause im 6.5 ported right now...so let me know!

Build it and let us know how it sounds. I'm leaning towards the same sub for mine and I really, really wanted to go ported. But after taking measurements I don't think I want to give up that much space.

If in a trunk car firing up is going to rattle the crap out of your trunk unless it's deadened VERY well.

Can you fit it with the sub firing forward? I've always gotten MUCH better SQ with subs firing into the cabin with the back seat down...

My 4 cu @ 32hz was an amazing box. Sub firing up, port back and sounded amazing. It doesn't rattle my trunk any more than with the sub and port back. Although, now I do have 2 layers of damp on my trunk lid and rear deck. Firing up doesn't bother me and my trunk at the back is only 14" high, and I want the box pushed back out of the way..so..

I just wanted people to tell me if I have the measurements correct, just to double check my calculations. Thanks.

Back on topic... yes, your calcs are right.

2.31cf before sub displacement, 2.13cf after sub displacement.

19.5 x 19.5 x 10.5 / 1728 - .18 = 2.1305
