Fi q 12inch sealed box

Ok Im building a box for my FiQ 12. After driver displacement it will have 1.5 cu. ft. of room which is perfect. Ok But I cant decide If I should downfire or upfire. Also How do I prevent the subs from smacking the ground or the underside of the seat. It Is going under the backseat of a truck.

Will an inch work? And will upfire or downfire sound better? Or will it not really matter?

under a seat in a truck, you will want a downfire setup....you need to have plenty of space between the sub and floor....the q will probably need more than 1 inch

The Xmax on a 12" Q is 27mm which is darn close to 1", So I would take a guess and say you want a buffer area like 2,3,4" between the sub and the floor

yea i was actually just looking at that. I only have room for 2 inches so that is what Ill go with. Also will i need the bp power upgrade if im only givin em 1100 watts?
