But you cannot deny the entry lines of many of these companies look exactly the same and perform similarly. And its not just FI and RE- there are many many subs with the identical basket and parts. It just makes you wonder when Research and Development became catalogue browsing...

I for one don't- I was just trying to make a point that these subs that become the forum boner are not revolutionary and hardly as unique as everyone tends to think.

All of the forum boners besides Alpine Type-Rs are generic woofers with Logos painted one. Look at the baskets, and the magnet assemblies. They are all lego woofers- RE, FI and others just picked the basket, the magnets, the voicecoils, etc. out of a catalogue and called it their own. They even have similar specs- the slight differences from the different lego parts.
Its no doubt entertaining to come to this forum and read about them all the time. lol

Funny- too bad you are the ****ing tool.

Use your eyes, and that mass (I assume in your case smallish mass) of grey matter behind them to infer somethign on your own. You don't need to be spoon fed your entire life- nows the time for you to wake up and think for yourself.

Its okay though you have coupons to redeem yourself anyways...

You can tell me these subwoofers are all unique and were individually designed to perform exactly as their creators intended them to- but you are wrong. The simple fact is that these unique subwoofer designs all came up with the same basket, similar magnet assemblies, and voicecoils.

Now- the last time I checked, when companies individually design products, often they produce goods different from each other. Not ones that use identical parts.

Its okay though- just print another coupon.

or how many dampers are used by looking at the top one?

or what the ID, OD, H, and length of a coil is by just looking at the driver?

Okay, so they look similar. Doesnt mean they perform the exact same.
