Fi 18 bl: Best Tuning

The vehicles gonna be a 1999 ram quad cab, and the box that i was thinking would be about 8.6 cubes after everythings taken out for displacement. I can make it smaller, but thats the biggest area i can work with. What do you guys think the best size (box and port) would be, and what should it be tuned to? My port was going to be 3x31 inches, and tuned to 30hz, but i was told that was too low, and 33-35hz would get louder.

SQ is not my main priority, but i dont want a one note wonder either. I guess you could say SQL for me (more towards spl)

i would do 33-35hz tuning since your looking for SQL with more loudness, its gonna be far from a 1note woofer, low end will still be plenty with useable extention to the high 20's, really not too much of a reason to tune to 30hz with a more spl oriented sub

either way its gonna sound good

7 cubes or so to 34hz with 80-100sq in port would be real nice
