Few SSA DCON 10" questions

the dcon is plenty over 100. its about 140/150 shipped for their 10"

Ha well... I just want to do things right. I've heard my share of $hitty subs and they are $hitty. From what I've read i think the dcon would be a good choice but I just want to get as much input as possible before I spend more moneys...

115 is close enough and Id think I could stomach the shipping. the tc is 160 shipped. adnfjanekjfnanedfwjaen

Oh man... recently I heard a gross horrid "concept" 10" sealed, a 10w3 in two different ported boxes, a pair of 19 year-old 10" JLs that sounded d@mn good in a huge ported box, 2 12W7s in a box too small for them, 2 12" Hifonics in a ported, and a 12" MTX ported. I've heard lots of kicker and mtx in the past... not a fan... That MTX I heard recently was loud as f*ck but sounded like absolute @ss... my friend got it and asked me to help tune his system and I was able to help a bit with crossover bizness etc. but still... it was like a noise generator. but it was loud so he was happy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Would you guys go with the epic over the dcon? after shipping it's $15 more... but I have no box specs on it and not sure I want to spend that much yet.

You wont go wrong with either. I personally would do the Dcon, but its just my opinion

Dear Heeltoeclutch,

Your interest in the DCON's is well founded. I have no personal experience with SSA products, but I have never heard anything bad about them. The TC Epic is another good driver, but i have heard from another member of the forum that TC has had issues with soft parts.

dayton reference or tc epic are some great choices. but the dcon will still give you some reasonable SQ. i just dont know how they do in sealed enclosures
