Few goodies showed up

Woot, you finally got them. Enjoy them bud, they really are some nice mids, one of the better ones I have heard. Would have gotten a set myself, if it wasn't for me needing a tweet and decided to get the same brand in both. I get leary switching up the tweets and mids on different crossovers, but I am sure it is fine.

Have fun mang!

got those crossover too, but i never hooked them except on hu power... so that doesn't mean anything.
With what woofer they could be paired the best? with that actual included crossover. Can they take a lot of power? (300w rms)
i meant i got the same tweeters... and the crossovers too. :p
You've got two choice on the crossover 3k and 6k if i remember well. Where are you gonna cross with this woofer?

Could you indeep review them after you listen to them enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

From what i remember, just with my headunit the tweeters were so loud i could feel the liquid in my ear moving.

Not sure what woofer would be best with this set of tweeters and passive crossover, just trying this combo for the time being until I can go active.

Ill prob leave the crossover point at 3k for now, listen to it at both and liked the lower point better. A couple of people that have these recommend a 4k crossover point.

Once everything is install, ill give a detail review of how they sound, and let everyone know.

And these tweeters are very efficient, before the mids showed up, I was feeding them their 100w rms and they sounded great, and quite loud. When my Rockford gets here, im going to attn them -3 and prob use a lil EQ to cut some of their output down to blend better with the midrange.

i've got an coustic x6 for you to go active with //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
nice stuff though, those are the tweets that are the same as the Cal 25 right?

Ill be sending you a PM in a sec drag, and thats what I heard about these though im not sure. Honestly, they sound better than what I expected, seriously.

Excellent budget tweeter IMO.

Thanks man, you too with those Pioneers, im trying to "encourage" my cousin to put a set in the front doors of his Expo, I think he will enjoy them.

I been listen to them, not installed yet off 100w each and its nothing, the tweeters take that easily and the mids are not even breaking a sweat. Cant wait to setup the power and go active.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/veryhappy.gif.fec4fed33b4a1279cf10bdd45a039dae.gif

can i ask you how much you paid for those tweets? i heard that they're being made by rainbow germ, is that possible? What model is it?

Paid 28$ for mine on ebay bidding, i didn,t need tweeters but they were so cheap and had good comments on the web

I was planning to get them from here, http://midwestelectronics.com/

But, stop selling them for some reason //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif but I bought them from an another forum member for $35 shipped, same price midwestelectronics was selling them for.

Its prob going to be a min before I get everything together, got to get my kicks done, A pillar glassed etc...

I wanted to try and go active with my last setup, but honestly the shit is over my head. I **** at tuning and usually have my friend do that, but active is not for me. I have heard a couple of active setups and they sounded good, but not much more than passive IMHO.

Good luck with it and I am sure you will like it no matter what. Peace!

I think you just haven't heard the potential of going active. Done right, passives can sound very nice, but, IMO, active setups can be taken much further, since many passive x-overs are very limited. That's unless you get some nice complicated passive xovers. They would probably be oversized, which would take up space that can be used for more amps //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
