Female USB to aux adapter will it work in aux port?

so my wife's phone's auxillary port doesnt work anymore, hardware issue, and her head unit is stock with no bluetooth or anything, just an aux port. Would this

be able to transfer audio from a USB to the headunit?

She really doesn't want to me spend any money on a new head unit or a new phone/phone repairs.

It's 99 cents with free shipping. I'm going to go out on a limb and say it will NOT work but hell for that price if it doesn't just throw it away...

pretty sure you can buy aux Bluetooth recievers, worth looking into. (not sure how it charges tho?)

My friend has something similar that goes from an iPod sync plug to an aux and it works. It actually bypasses the iPod's DAC and uses its own and sounds better.

well from research and snooping around i found that the USB female to Aux solution I proposed would not work, you'd actually need an music player. You cannot transmit an audio signal straight from a USB to aux.

Most of the $20 and under fm transmitters/wireless recievers look like total junk

and anything over $30 seems like a total waste of money(could get a decent sandisk sansa player instead) , i'd rather spend 5-10 bucks on a stack of CDs and burn everything for her and infact, thats probably what i will end up doing and she'll just have to deal with it lol. USB audio out can be done... either by rooting and adding custom kernel extensions or through a samsung dock. It has an internal DAC and you can get audio out to 3.5mm from it.

But yeah thats pretty useful info though thanks man. Might have to hit up the samsung forums and do that when she's not around lol.
