D@mnit! He must know the Asian Car Audio market all too well.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gifto re-cone it jl wants 350$ and 3 weeks to do it. time and money i dont need to spend. i only paid 350 for the darn thing, so spending another 350 means id just by another sub. i like the idea of the asian sub......... just tryd it ........ didnt work at all. my friend said "that thing looks like a mutated w7 joking around...... i said it was a knock off" that i got for a 100 bucks.
Hey I was going to say this... also the *inverted dustcap* is the second part of the W cone -- helps reduce IMD *maintain a better voice coil alignment* and also helps reduce odd order distortion products with serious bass //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif -- It will still sound hella better than a w3v2 thats for sure regardless! Personally my simple fix would have been Carbon Fiber //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif make yourself a new W cone //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif -- possibly you can just order the front portion of the W cone from JL audio and recone yourself?and also by removing the cone you are adjusting the moving mass T/S parameter i believe...
preciselyso black jesus, lol your saying that making the cut jl told me to do was not the right way to solve the problem?
