How much friggin electrical do i need to run 3000 watts :/?

I have a HO 230a(biggest i can get) and d3100, i didnt hook up my d2400 yet. But i can drop down to like 11.8 and idk how the hell adding the d2400 will help

What brand Alternator is it? Hook up the 2400 and report back.

It's a local custom made HO alt. They clamped 190A at hottest on it

Tomorrow ill put on the d2400, but this is rediculous

D2400 hooked up, i changed the wiring scheme as well, i have it going like this:

ALT->stock->D2400->D3100->all amps and ****

I did a little bit of testing (its ******* cold) and its holding 13-14.4V IDLE at about half volume, not too bad.... but when its warm ill test more

edit: i put 2 runs of 1/0 KNU from the D2400 to D3100 as well... 2 of 12V and 2 of GRND

Yeah i can still drop down to low 12s high 11s with the d2400

How much more batts do you think i need to stay in decent shape? Im looking into the XS Power D2400 or a yellowtop regardless

Do a Deka before a yellowtop.

Remember, you're trying to run 3k w/ about 80-90A of current (the amount over stock you went). If you really want to have no voltage issues, get a dual alt bracket, put stock back on the car and run the 230A directly to the batts closest to the amps.

weird... my boy ryan has one D3400 and a Stock 150a alternator on his Sundown 3k and its flawless... Are SKAR amps efficient?
