fbi90909's TC LMS 5400 15 + Saz3000D rebuild + fiberglass

I hear ya on the electrical. I don't want to put my current setup in the car just because of all the electrical upgrades that HAVE to be done with these cars. Quick ?, do you have any problems with the window regulators from the bass in your car?
never heard of any such window regulator issue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Civic's are infamous for their weak power window systems. When I was running 700 rms alone i had to replace the regulator because it was thrown out of balance and my window wouldnt roll completely up. A real PITA to replace that piece too. I believe I've had to go back in and tighten up the bolts 3 or 4 times just because of the bass rattling them loose. I eventually just ripped the system out and I'm debating on whether i want to get a new car before I put anything back in or not. This is with only 1 layer of Stinger overkill on the doors.

The install looks great so far though. G/l with the rest!

i haven't really had any issues with my power windows other than my drivers side windows making a screeching sound when ever i roll it up. it happens every once in a while. i can't figure out wtf it is. it has something to do with the outside of the window. it's not only happening with my car but with one of our government vehicles which is a 2006 ford F150 4door. the drivers side window is the only one of them all that screeches when rolled up just like mine.

alright. not too much progress today. when i got home from work i didn't feel like doing chit. i kinda feel like shit in general. loss of appetite and i just feel weak.

but, i got off my lazy *** and did at least something.

first i cleaned up all the wrappers and crap that was left in the trunk for a few days. after that i noticed how much excess length in ground wire i have going to my kinetik so i decided i'll redo my ground. well after taking a peek underneath the car to where the ground goes the screw is rusted to all hell. lol i tried moving the screw with a screwdriver but no luck. i ended up using some PB Blast on it and letting it sit there. i'll try to attack it tomorrow. if it still doesn't want to release then i'll just dremel it off.

after that episode i need to go out and pick up some self tapping metal screws and 8 L brackets to bolt the enclosure down to place. i then started with assembling more of the box into the trunk. i sat the 1 piece in, laid my glue, then attached the side piece n' screwed it down.

then i laid the glue for the top board and screwed that in too. cleaned up my drip mess and ran more beads along the edges. and that's where it sits. i was going to actually bolt it down but i'll do that tomorrow as i want to let the wood cure. i know i should have some clamps but well i really don't see that happening. that's why i use a number of screws to "clamp" my wood together. i sort of did this same technique when i assembled my kerf ported box for my BTL and it held up PERFECTLY

on to the pics!

what my grounding point looks like underneath the car. it's on the most frame looking section of the car(uni frame)

that's all for now.

tomorrow i really got to start working on cutting the rear dash panel. after i get that cut i an sit the rear dash back in place and then line up or preposition how i want my ports.

i expect to be glassing on thursday. woot! still got a lot of prep work prior to though.

Swine? it's starting to eat us up down here in fl :/
nah, it's kinda normal for me. i think it's cause i kept myself at a busy pace for the weekend and going back to work was like bleeeehhhhhhhhhh.. ya know? i'll be good tomorrow.

alright a bit of work today.

when i got off work first thing i did was get some hamburgers and soda. ate, then got to work. i started off with installing the front baffles. they are not totally screwed or glued in but just in place so i could position the box back in place and "bolt" it down. the enclosures now secured in place with few screws in the L brackets. i did this mainly so when i do finally bolt it down i won't have stipped holes everywhere. ya know?

after the enclosure i tested to see how the ports would fit through the opening which are a thumbs up.

i then brought in the amp rack and set it in place and partially bolted it down as well.

after that, it was time to start cutting up the rear dash panel. after about 15 minutes with the dremel. i was done. lol. i then cleaned it up just a lil bit and placed the rear panel in place but now 100% locked in place. i then took a port and gave it a little look test. overall, i'm pretty happy with it. but i am considering on trimming off some of the ports flat surface of the mounting flare. was wider than i had though.

on to the pics!!

yep, tomorrow, i think i'll start taping off all the areas that will be glassed. i don't know if i should start with glassing the ports in place first as that is quite an important part of the build.

we shall see.

1 more day of work then i'm freeeeee till the 26 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes, love this build thread.

i just got my 40ft of damplifyer in today, and going to be installing it on sat. i was wondering if its better to put down little pieces like you did 4"2" pieces everywhere or put down the entire sheet its self?

everyone has their prefrence really. i used 2" like strips because it's a little easier to lay on curved areas. a whole 12"x12" sheet can be tricky to lay properly in areas.

some say that using full sheets is more effective cause of the foil or some shit.

so i don't know. just find one that works well for you.
