fatmat smell

I know, there are better products out there, but the fact remains that I got some of this for Christmas, and I installed it. it worked well, and has made the car quieter with less rattles. however, it smells like a fresh roofing project inside the car. I thought this was supposed to be rubberized, but with further research, I found that it is basically peel and seal.

Will these fumes and smells go away after awhile? Are they dangerous at all?

Thanks!

OSHA has standards regarding the amount of time a worker should be exposed to asphalt fumes. You could look those up and then limit the amount of time you are in your car. Or just wear one of these:

Thanks, if I had your budget, I would buy something else! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif

Lesson learned: when someone gives you FatMat...smile politely, say "why, thanks" and then save it for the day you need to seal and/or repair your roof.....because that's what it's for. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

FatMat is not deadener. We've went over this many a time.
