fatmat smell

I know, there are better products out there, but the fact remains that I got some of this for Christmas, and I installed it. it worked well, and has made the car quieter with less rattles. however, it smells like a fresh roofing project inside the car. I thought this was supposed to be rubberized, but with further research, I found that it is basically peel and seal.

Will these fumes and smells go away after awhile? Are they dangerous at all?

OSHA has standards regarding the amount of time a worker should be exposed to asphalt fumes. You could look those up and then limit the amount of time you are in your car. Or just wear one of these:

ya i agree i put in on earlier this feb.. im like wtf this stuff wont come off.. heated it up with a hair dryer put on in the cold.. stuck really good.. one day went out shit fell on my amp and stuff
