fatmat or edead 45?

Is this Rudy just swaying yet another guy or what?
I will recommend fatmat.........have had it in my car going on 2 years now with no problems what so ever. Have it on my doors, floors and rear quarters, the rest is secondskin damp. Seems to be holding up just as well as the damp and I have the fatmat in the areas in my rear quarter where it rattles the most and it has helped a ton.

Also have you used fatmat before or peel and seel? Or just playing the broken record of what Rudy says?

For the money, I see nothing wrong with it and I would buy more. I don't care what Rudy or the other guru's say, it has worked in my case. I have yet to really come across any deadener that don't do the trick and I have used many from expensive to inexpensive. Only bought the secondskin due to the reviews and honestly can't tell a dam difference. It was eaiser to install is all I can think of, but did slice my hands up pretty good.

I am sure most will go against the post, but I don't care. I have done plenty of deadening isntalls and have not had one fail on any brand I have used and all have helped quiet down the rattles, which is what they were looking for.

I guess if you have the money, do secondskin......or Cascasde, if not nothing wrong with fatmat......just make sure you do the prep and install it right and it will work. These people that have had bad luck, just don't prep and install it the right way IMO.
there should be a sticky that says "never create a thread about ED because everyone hates it even though most never owned it and just hopped on bandwagon haters"
get tired of hearing the same shit from FoxPro and Rudy, even Ant. they will do and say anything to prove their point, even though they make themselves look like idiots.

honestly TS its up to you, i have a good small amount of fatmat and and a lot of edead in my hatch and it has done me good for the past 2 years. most will say the same that own edead.
it's either these two are trying to justify their purchase or they have selective learning. Are they skipping through the arguments about why asphalt is inferior to butyl??? wtf. Yes I said, asphalt, not eDead or fatmat.

I think it's cool that they think it's working fine for them, but it's not cool for them to promote that crap.

i'm not talking about fox or rudy...

I have about 3 layers of fat mat in my camaro and it smelled for a day then was gone nothing major also it is holding well and i dont know where you live but i dont worry of melting in 180 degrees cuz never that hot round here and i crack my windows on hot summer days so never gets that hot

Unfortunately, as long as there are those who refuse to acknowledge the basic physics involved in vibration damping, the idiots among us will continue to say that just because something looks like something else doesn't make it the same thing. A turd might look like chocolate to some, but that doesn't make it a tasty treat.
When you say that FatMat has "done you good", you mean that it has not fallen off, not that it has performed the task for which it is being sold. So yeah, we may end up looking like idiots, but somebody needs to explain to people why they shouldn't follow the truly idiotic advice being thrown around as if there was something other than ignorance and wishful thinking behind it. Continue convincing yourself that you didn't make a mistake if you like, but stop trying to convince others to follow your lead.

It's very simple: high quality products work so much better that they cost less to use and require less work. They also don't carry the risk of failure that your chosen materials do. What's your point again?
See if all your posts were like this, I would think better of you. What you say is true, but its not just that it hasnt fallen off, it does what its suppose to do and absorb vibrations. My doors are solid, and just have 1 layer of SE2 and V3.

Not going to lie, when you say high quality products are better, you indeed are right and will never argue that. My point is there is always something not as "high quality" but that it still works. Thats my point and pretty much everybodies who own edead.

I've come to learn that whatever you post is complete bs, all you do is talk sh1t and ruin threads.

I've used dynamat, dynamt xtreme, edead and second skin damp. IMO edead was the worst because it peeled in alot of areas and I heated it with a heatgun during the install so I'm no n00b when it comes to applying this stuff. the edead did fine when it was applied over dynamat extreme which is still holding in my old car after 5 years. damp is the best imo for the cost because dynamat is expensive. but if your choosing between these 2 i'd go with fatmat because i think eDead has the worst adhesion and I've used both the old and newer formulas

Asphalt is incapable of "absorbing" vibrations - as is unconstrained butyl. Your assertion that it works is false and unsupportable. You are mistaking doors that are heavier than they used be for doors that are less resonant. When you've used a proper butyl/foil CLD and can compare the results to what you are endorsing, you'll have something to say that's worth listening to. Short of that, you are making recommendations with no foundation.

A dark car parked in the sun during the summer South of the Mason Dixon line can easily get to 180°F at the sheet metal - where this stuff is applied. 180°F is the melting temperature of fresh rubberized asphalt. Heat tolerance declines with age.

...and the threads I start, you don't have the knowledge to contribute in.

I shit in threads that are worthy of being shat on. like the ones you start for example. If there threads with worthwhile questions, I will contribute in. Contribute as in help with suggestions, resolutions. Maybe if you would just visit threads that have to do with knowing something you might notice. not just flex vids or "what sub is bettert" threads.

Hurry along and wh0re the fews brands and equipment you've had experience with.

If you would just search Rudy's, Fox's, or even my own (not to be conceited) posts, you might learn something useful, you ungrateful shit.

Edit: you'll learn more about deadening from their posts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I got love for car audio. tough love. If you can deal w/ it. Put me on your ignore list. If I could find a way to exclude you from viewing my posts, I would. But you can easy do that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Have a nice day.

My god, this will be a never ending battle. It is DEAD FRIGGIN obvious you get better results with Second Skin...,.......the numerous threads prove it. Wanna prove me wrong? Wait for a thread with me taking pics of me RE-DOING my doors in Damp Pro because the other CRAP fell off in less than a year!!!! ok, so lets see Damp Pro after a year? No problem, sticking like glue my friends!

LMAO @ calling me ungrateful, wow i post a few videos of my car, so what, you go in and bash it. But i dont see you bashing anybody else's video threads. And I have been through a lot of setups, and i contribute to my share of knowledgeable posts.

I can deal with your attitude towards me, for all i care its just the internet. And just to make things clear, when i recommend a sub/amp/ or anything in regards to car audio, i post my honest opinion. When someone creates a thread on recommending a sub, and I say Lethal Injection or Flatlyne, its either because i own it, or heard it. But i never bash any other sub just to recommend this, you make it seem like thats all i do.

And trust me i am grateful for all the stuff i learn, and i do my best to contribute myself.
