father-in-law cut factory harness...

ya justin....thats exactly what it is.I knew I could count on yall.So if i can get to the other side of the amp, disconnect it and use those wires,(speaker wires) I should be good right?
Yeah, or you can fire right into the amp. Should work just fine. I don't have the color codes and you can't test them, but if you can find the diagram online you should be set.

Or grab the plug he cut off and go buy a metra part number 5511 harness. That'll give you the pin out you need.

my ranger had the premium sound w factory amp, i never figured out how to get it to work with the factory wire harness. the plugs fit but there was no sound. i ended up just running all my own speaker wire.

the amp is below the pass.side back window ifs its ext cab.

ya, Boxd, that was our thought, just run our own wire,no big deal since he destroyed the plug and the pins.just splice to the new radio harnes for the speaker wires and run them to each speaker.problem solved.not the easiest, but shouldnt be bad, thanks.

That Truck has factory premium sound.

You must buy a factory amp bypass for it to work correctly.

If it is a ranger it is located in right front kick pannel.

Either get the harness or run 8 wires from head unit speaker outs to right front kickpannel to connect to the stock amplifiers output harness.

Hope this helps.

my thunderbird was the same way i just ran new wire too imo i think it helps a little with sound quality cause stock wiring is so small

thanks cameron B , did find the amp in the kick, and thats what we'll do tomorrow is run 8 wires from the HU to the amp outs,Sure do appreciate the help on this site. Its also a great place to buy used audio at good prices(usually) from trusted sellers.

yup, all is well, took the harness from the factory amp,cut the end off and spliced the nre 8 wires on and ran them up to the dash then hooked them to the radio harnes and BAM! we got tunage.thanks guys for all your help;....then after that i built a lil 1.25 cuft box tuned to 40hz for my AQ sdc 2.5. only 300 watts on it but itll do nicely for a while.and for now..all is well.
