Sounds good... lol, no pun intended! Ha! That was weak, okay enough. What about for comps, mids, and tweeters? What brand would flow well? Would I need a seperate amp? Would I need a seperate battery in the trunk on a 3 amp set-up? What kind of wiring? Is an Alpine 9851/53/55 a good head unit for this kind of system? Sorry for all the questions, but again I just decided this last week.
Questions are how you learn. Better to ask now, rather than come back and ask something like "How come my 5000 watt pyramid amp doesnt sound good?" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
Components will vary, based on what you like. Try to find a shop that has some high end brands, listen to them, see what you like. Or, just read through the speaker section.....you will need a second amp for the comps.
As for wiring, your choices are wide open. You could piece together an amp kit, buy one premade from Knukonceptz, or (my suggestion) have a member of the board make you one (PM Johnecon2001, hes the resident wiring guy). That way, it can be tailored to your specific needs.
Alpine head units are usually good stuff, theres some problems with some models though, many threads about it in the head unit section, with what problems/models. The deck is where it all starts, dont skimp on one, get one that has all the features you need or want.
Youre gonna need electrical upgrades with your proposed setup. Do the big three, and get a high output alternator, may need a second battery as well. (Look into Optima and Kinetik).
Also, youll want to pick up a digital multimeter, very useful tool.
