Family Guy vs The Simpsons

Everybody by now has seen both of these shows im sure. Both are amazingly funny, but if i had to only watch one of them i would say family guy. But these two shows are consistently being compared. I was curious to see all of your opinions.

Once family guy has been around for what.. 10 years like the simpsons im sure their going to start running out of their "high quality" ideas also, so.. simpsons id have to say, just simply becuase its been holding up as the longest cartoon animation series to date, and its still good stuff, i do love family guy however though... the cheap knock off of american dad fox came out with though is pure shit...

ummm dude american dad is created by Seth Macfarlane (the same creator of family guy) not really a knock off. Though i kind of agree that famiy guy is much better.

Well he shouldnt have tryed to make another verson of family guy, if your going to make another cartoon dont make ever aspect of it the same as another youve already made...

family guy. i think the reason I used to like the simpsons was cus it was edgy comedy. But when South Park came out it blew it away, and then family guy is just rediculously funny which doesnt hold back at all. I think a better comparison would family guy vs. South Park

family guy. simpsons just wasnt as great as their previous seasons (4-10)

but when you put thought into it, family guy has taken ideas from simpsons and replayed it.

oh yeah, family guy is more of an offensive comedy like dave chappale:laugh:

good point i dont know about south park, i watch every once in a while and the humor is kind of elementary compared to the other 2. Simpsons and family guy use jokes that require a certain level of maturity where as south park douesent (ex. terrance and philip).

South park is still quite humerous though, not hating on that show at all

I love south park better than any other cartoons out there.

Its hilarious.

But family is better than simpsons because its less "censored"

The Simpsons has its moments, but Family Guy is much better social commentary //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif It's amazing how aware you have to be to fully understand an episode, there's simply so much said in references, things that I don't even get, heh...American Dad tries to do the same kind of satire, but it tries too hard to be funny, IMO.
