I do have a remote hooked up for the fans and amps...

verrry nice.. what kind of window you got there? im looking to make a false floor/hatch an ill be getting some cold cathode lighting but im not sure which kind of glass to use.. i think plexi is to expensive for me

The relay keeps you from burning up your head unit.

What I learned from this project is that, when you start adding fans and stuff to your remote wire of your head unit, you start to create a load a little too demanding for a single remote wire. The relay allows you to add a power wire to the relay, which will keep the load off your head units remote wire...something like that...
