Samething happened to my FI Q. I never over do it and heck was only seeing maybe 800 clean watts. I was gonna send mine back, but would have been the 2nd time for two completely different reasons. I know how the turn-around time on these things usually go or if it is a Focal you could be a year so... Looking for suggestions of another 12" SQL sub for 1000W constant. Something really bullet-proof with good SQ. I figure I can buy that and have it here quicker than waiting for this. Maybe sell the ID when it comes back. Let me know.

I feel ya dude....i got the same problem lmk what you do to fix it......as for me i sealed it back with some industrial grade silicone(no warranty) and put it in a ported box to relieve some pressure sealed boxes have on cones....2 months...so far so good...[img ]http://i180.photobucket.com/albums/x83/tmexceed_03pics/subdamage2-1.jpg[/img]

Ported enclosures can actually create more back pressure on the sub than sealed enclosures. Of course, that is completely dependent on what size we're talking about.

Stereo Integrity makes the Mag... they are out of stock new but you can find used ones.

Just out of curiosity they are 1 and 2 Ohm. So with my amp I would need to go with the 1 Ohm and that would be about 1600 Watts or so.... they up to that?
