Factory Stereo w/ Amplifier

Hey, My wife has an 05 Pacifica, and I installed an MTX 801D on a RF T112D4 Sub.

When I even crank the bass on the deck, and the amp at max gain, it gets minimal bass. Actually, even after I turn it to like.... 25 anywhere after that, the bass gets less, or stops getting louder???

Any idea's how to fix this problem anyone?

I didnt actually install the amp, for some stupid reason, so im just trying to fix it now.

They had to install something on the factory deck to add the amp, would this thing have anything to do with it?

Thanks.

they prolly have to install signal jumpers which clamp onto you power wires and give you an RCA adaption to hook up the amp . They give out hardly no voltage for signal strength which would be the reason for minimal bass. Get her a after amrket H/U and call it a day .

Well *I* would be ok with that, but she wont have that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Hahaha... She loves the way the stereo is integrated and all that, plus it has DVD and all that stuff...

So is there better quality adapter thingy's or...?

What's probably happening is that they attached the line-out converter to the wrong place. Your vehicle most likely has a factory amp. If they connected the LOC behind the factory deck, then it's hooked up between the head unit and the factory amplifier. There's not enough output to drive the LOC signal effectively. What needs to be done is to move the LOC to the output from the factory amp, instead of connecting it to the output from the head unit. This should send more voltage to your sub amp. Unfortunately, I don't know where to find the factory amp in a Pacifica. If you can get to any of the speakers themselves, you can make the connection at the speaker instead of behind the head unit.
