I have a 2003 Jeep Liberty, with the factory cd/tape player, i like the head unit, not to mention, i don't want to spend 300 bucks on a new one if i dont have to. anyway, i have a 12" sub in a small box that i want to put in, does anyone know if there are outputs on the factory head unit so that i can do this? any help would be greatly appreciated

being a stock hu, most likely there won't be any rca outputs for an amp. however, you can use a speaker level to line level converter to solve that problem.

Yep...its that simple.

However... get the adaptor for your application. I would recommend the N-455 for an amp pushing a sub just because it handles the higher amount of watts and its better to be safe than sorry, but the N-444 will probably perform fine. The others below that listed are more for your amps pushing 6x9s application. IMO.

GEEZ that site has all types of connectors|adaptors. Wish I knew of it back when I was OEM.

i forgot to mention, but if you didn't get your sub amp yet, try to get an amp with line level inputs. therefore you won't need an external line level to speaker level converter.
