has any one had problems with there factory amp not working. I just got this car and the factory amp does not work. Do these amps often fry? is there something i can do? i dont have all of my speakers in my car because there hooked to the amp. The amp has a bunch probably over 20 wires comming out. Its an infinity

Well any peice of equipment can go bad and factory amps arent the best things in the world. I've seen a few that have gone out your best bet is replace it or replace ur speakers and amp with a after market system.

Was the amp bypassed when you installed your HU? If it was, then you will need to use the integration harness for your specific vehicle. Can cost $50 or more. I'm not very familiar with the Infinity systems, so YMMV.

it could have been bypassed i dont see why it would have been. if i did get an aftermarket amp would the connections that are there hook right up to the new amp? How would i know if it was bypassed. I cant even tell if theres power going to it theres so many wires. I suppose i could take the connecter out with my tester and test every little slot on the connection and see if theres any power thankz for the advice so far guys .
