F150 supercrew. No room for pioneer sub

Hi all,

I received a pionner TS-W254C 10" subwoofer from a friend, and I was thinking on creating an vented enclosure for it and installing it under the rear seat of my 06 F150 supercrew. However, the speaker's hight is 6" and I don't know if an enclosure with a 7" mounting depth will be good enough. I don't think I can build an enclosure with a mounting depth bigger thant 7" because the enclouse will not fit under the seat. Has anyone had any success installing a subwoofer this tall without lifting the seat? Please help!

As long as you have at least 1/2" of space from the back of the magnet to the box your ok. Thats cuttingit close, but you have to do what you have to do, with 1" I think you'll be cool.

Why not get a pioneer shallow sub?

because the sub was free, but now I'm thinking about getting 2 8" kicker subwoofers or a shallow sub. Any suggestions?
