you CANT dremel the whole head off!!!

for f*cks sake!!! think before you post!!!

to cut the head off, the dremel disc has to be parallel to the sub, and 90 degrees to the bolt... this means, either cutting a hole in the subs surround, or the basket!!! real smart that is!!!

you have to cut a groove in the head, with the disc at 90 degrees to the sub, break the bolt head in half, then, you can come in at about 45 degrees, not touching the subs surround, or basket, and cut the rest of the bolt head off...

PLEASE PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU POST, AND STOP MAKING YOURSELF LOOK LIKE A MORON!!!!

THANKYOU!

lol

now you're just trying to be a smart ***, because you know you're completely wrong... lol

like I said, I have done this was 20 or so bolts... you may end up putting a slight nick in the basket/surround under the bolt head, but the new bolt will cover this up anyway...

I see you're still not thinking before you post!!!

What dremel attachment are you exactly talking about anyways? Got a pic of it?

And I would think that if you've had to do this 20+ times, that you would stop using them. But hey, i'm not a genius like you. Apparently you know something that I don't.

I would like to see a pick of this. I do a lot of restoration work on cars and I have had to in some improve work on work other people have screwed up and just when rust took everything away. I might be able to help if I can see the problem better.

So how are you supposed to get that down onto the head if the sub has a built in gasket/surround retainer around it? You would have to dig into the gasket to even get to the bolt head.

This is what I'm talking about.

How are you supposed to get a cutting disk in there without destroying the gasket?

Death by bass, your a ***, and should be banned for how stupid you are.

Take the cut off wheel and grind the head of the bolt off.

Or use a cobalt drill bit and drill the head off.

in that case, you cant.

however, I have another suggestion, if you can get your hand into the box, say, through a port, you should be able to grip the back of the bolt with a pair of pliers and drill into the bolt head, with a drill bit larger than the bolt thread.

if this is not possible, and the sub has a rubber surround like that, I suggest just destroying the surround/gasket thingo, and from now on, mount the sub inverted.

unless someone has a better idea? lol

Get a drill bit slightly larger than the size of the bolt, not the allen head. Drill the center of the allen head. When you drill through the allen head into the bolt (threaded portion) the head will seperate from the threaded portion.

That will work, but only if you can grip the bolt from the back to it doesn't just spin around. Like I said in my last post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
