Ok, so my noise problems are really pissing me off........... I did have an Aura RPM4200 amp, which had some noise, but only minor, so it was not so annoying. I have now upgraded this to an Alpine MRV-F345 and the noise is really annoying.
So far I have re-grounded my HU directly to the battery and wrapped my RCA's (Pioneer HU) but I still get a loud pop (from the sub) when changing source/settings/turning volume to 0 and get engine noise through all the speakers.
My amp is grounded to the rear seat bolt, I think that this is the main source of my noise. Is the seat bolt a good place to attach my amp ground? If so then I will try and scrape off more paint............ but, does anyone know of any better ground locations on a 2000 F-150? The amp is on the drivers side under the rear seat.
Should I try and ground my HU to the same location as the amp? or is it OK grounded to the battery?
Thanks.
