why are the amps turned all the way up??? and why do you need to play it with the car off?

WTF? Turn your car on, and expect more like 1600 X 2.......Those amps don't even get remotely close to their rated power.

With the car on playing music you should never discharge the batteries. If you are you need a bigger alt.
