Extra Run of 0 Gauge?

I was thinking of upgrading to 5000 rms..and most amps that have that much power have 2 sets of power and ground wires..when adding a second run do I have to go from the front to back with the power wire or could I just add a second run off the batteries in the trunk?

id add another run to the batts in the trunk and then add ur power from the batt to amp

With 5kw I'd definitely recommend two runs from front to back...unless you like the smell of electrical fires.

i am gunna be running about 4.5k watts should i run 2 power and 1 ground? or is it safe the way i got it with 1 ground 1 power front to back??

With that much power 1 of each is not going to be enough. You should do two of each. You amp has two terminals for power and ground right?

I am running a RD D9 at .8ohms roughly 5k watts and 2 runs of klmx 1/0 power and 2 runs of klmx 1/0 ground front to back and dropping .75-1 volt so i would do 3 power and 3 ground runs or even better 4 of each

2-3 runs is prime for the amperage that will be pulled.

and doing 2-3 runs of + and only 1 run on - is a bad idea.

it'd be like running a single 1/0 run for + and a single 8gauge run for -..

bottleneck.
