Expy2K's Box Building Comp. Pre-Thoughts

Since I have the final say..

I am going to go with a format like this..

1. Unique/Cool/Badass Looking Box - Just something that looks completely insane or funny looking - Anything goes.

2. Craftsmanship/Build Quality - Perfect build all around from cuts, carpeting, painting, sealing - includes anything non-sub box related.

Winner of the #1 gets $150+ and 31" Trophy

Winner of #2 gets $75+ and a 22" Trophy

I haven't decided if I want 2nd and 3rd places or if I want Winners Take ALL!!

and the Winner of #1 cannot win #2, no exceptions!

Judges for #1 I have not chosen yet but it will also involve a CA.com Thread Poll, BUT only members from April 2006 should be allowed have thier vote counted. So we keep people from multiple voting.

Judges for #2 I have not picked yet. But will most likely ask the 3 top Box builders on the forum to help judge along with 3 others

Needs some fine tuning but those are the basic rules.

ENTRY FEE is $5 dolalrs, which goes to the winners Pots!!!

So Far I have $300 in trophies and $$ set aside for this competition, I would like to have it around $400-500 so any money making tips or sponsors hit me up!!!

Nothing is Official yet, just leave feedback if you think there should be changes..!

it would be kind of hard for people to judge loudness of a box when there are so many factors into the loudness of a box. and all the boxes would have to be built to specs of a certain sub to get the proper/fair measurement of the loudness, which means sending the boxs to one person with a meter to test them or making the contestants buy that particular sub.

how the box looks and was designed would be cool to see. I think it is a great idea. I will volunteer to judge if you decide you want judges eventually.

YA I will def need some kind of voting polls and judges..

or set up a thread where everyone can judge if they have been here since April or 2006

to limit cheats..

Setting up a poll would be a good thing. Maybe have a 3 way, poll/judges(besides you)/ you collab. Whoever wins 2/3 is the overall winner. Should look at design, originality, detail, uniqueness, and a category for loudest
