The ones that came on my 351w that i had were the best stocks, GT40P are just cheap aluminums that are over rated. The real GT40 heads are sweet.

You took what I said way out of context. And it said that it was going to be an even exchange. No cash on either end. It had nothing to do with aftermarket performance upgrades. PLUS, I was not even referring to his post. I was definitely talking about yours.

Its not that, just not gonna argue. Gt40p's are great stock heads. Thats all. OP - I'd go with an Explorer, almost bought one myself the other day.

I personally would stick with your explorer bro. I have owned both vehicles and they are both great but unless the excursion is diesel I would not trade. Plus you will be glad that you stuck with the Exploder as gas prices continue to rise.

Also the V-10's are F*****G expensive to work on.

An Excursion would be very high on my list of vehicles if it came with a manual transmission.

That being said, I'll echo the not-unless-it's-a-diesel comment.

Would make a perfect conversion to waste veggie oil with the diesel, but with a gas engine, it's useless.
