Explorer to F150, Wheres my bass?

I had this same system in my Explorer and now have put it into an F-150 ext. cab. But it does not sound nearly as loud. Did the larger cab in the Explorer make that big of a difference? My previous amp was a Planet Audio 2250d, but replaced it with this RF with enough headroom for a second sub down the road. Does anyone have any input?

System:

RE Audio HC 15"

Ported 6.5 CU. FT tuned @ 32hz

RF T20001BD gain controlled

All 0 Guage, with 200 Amp alt

I went to my buddies house and put my box in his 93 Hatch Back Civic, and it pounded like crazy. But in my truck its so mellow. Do i need to have a different box made? Any ideas where to go from here to get my sub sounding good in an ext. cab truck?

What orientation is the sub and port?

In alot of ext cab trucks, sub up, and port facing the driver side at the bottom of the box works great.

I haven't been able to get my 07 extended cab f150 loud for shit, very good chance a big part of that is my lack-o-skills though.

Downfire. I have an 02 F150 supercab and downfire sounds the best.

I have tried the sub and port facing forward, and the the sub and port facing Up. not much difference. So is there anything to be done, or is a truck just not acoustically good for large subs. There is such a LARGE difference in it being in my truck and his car, that I am very upset. Almost to the point where i dont think it can be fixed unless i get something with more airspace. If I get a Treo SSX or RE XXX that can handle to full power output of the amp, i wonder if ill get closer to where i was in the explorer.

A lot of those suggestions are the worst possible ones, at least for little ext cab trucks.

To the OP, I'm not sure which Explorer you got, but certain models are VERY LOUD.
