expedition build idea

Well im going to be running 4 alpine type r's in the back of a '97 expedition. Took out third seat, def keeping second row seat in. hopefully, i want subs facing back port back, or just nothing facing up if possible. (so i can stack stuff ontop of the box, (id brace the **** out of the box obviously)

is that even possible? i could put the space between the subs and the back door like 6 inches.

how wide is the trunk?

my current box is 48 inches, and barrrrely fits.

you can go as wide as 49". I have mine 48" and have about 1/2" on each side. I dont know if you can put them all in and not put them on the top though. The top sits a little above back seat, and is about 6 inches from the back door for my port.

id like to get as much oomph at the drivers seat, so would something like this work maybe?

if you make it tall enough. you could fit them all on the front if you really wanted.

yeah, like grandprix said, if you build it up higher than the seats they will all fit on the front or back, my box is 22" tall and it is almost as high as the headrest on the backseat.

its out of truck now, going to round edges, paint, and build trim panels

i throwed carpet on it just to put it in truck for few months. That box is 20 cubes before subs and port

yea. well id like to not have subs on top becuase you can see through the windows, but if thats the loudest setup ill do it. id LOVE to do a hairtrick but it might not be possible on my setup.

im not worried bout seeing them thru the windows. While its out, all my back 3 windows are being blacked out. That will help some. I dont know what it will take to do a hair trick with type r's. I havent tried a hair trick, but I hung a shirt in door and it moves it quite a bit.

i have two potential builds, either 4 12" r's, or 4 15" re se's. how many cubes should they be approx? id tune em to around like 33
