Exhuast sound tuning help!!!!

I am really fond of the 5Zigen Fireball exhuast and I want to purchase it for my 1997 Honda Prelude. I know thee is a performance difference between the muffler, rear section and full system. If i purchase the muffler or the rear section and do custom piping the rest of the way, will it sound much different than the full system?

No, Not really, the Only thing you will get out of it will probibly get abit more HP not alot but a coupl emaybe if your luckey, what size piping are you going to get if you do the custom...2.5" or 3"...??? id go with the 2.5" piping its cheeper and it will still have the back pressure the cara needs.

Please for God's sake do not put a rice can muffler on it. Thats the last thing you'd want to do. They sound bad enough as it is.

Well, it will be Ricey but With the Ziggen Fireball Muff on it, it will sound Quite deep if you have big enough piping and it will sounds really nice.. not too ricey, it only sounds ricey if you leave stock piping on it.......Make sure you put on a headder, and upgrade the pipeing to 2.5-3", and put in a resinator and take out your Cat, Who needs cats in the states.

Quite deep, eh? If it doesn't end up sounding like a Camaro, ***** Am, etc. It's deffinately not sounding good. Nothing like a powerful V8 rumbling then hittin the gas and roaring..

Why spend that much money to get 2hp, when u can use that to get a chip, or port/polish, Maybe a turbo, intake. Who the hell would put money into a honda anyways. I can buy a car for Under 5,000 and smoke any honda. Camaro with 454bg with 100shot nos kit. Good Luck

id say if your goin to mess with a honda id go with 2.5 piping and get a glass pack muffler. you get a deep sound and youd gane more pony's than with a grinder pipe. it would sound a whole hell of a lot better to. but its up to you. its still a honda.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif

nothing like the little 3.0 raping the v8...my idea of soundin good is a high pitched "psssss" b/w each gear shift. blowoff valve what?

How about you put it this way you spend 3 grand... rebuild your engin add a turbo and a intercooler, and other little mods like bov's etc... on a import and you can beat a stock V8.. no dout about it.. but when you spend 3 grand on a V8, getting rebuild the engin, surpercharger, and new cam and lifters, you will spang any god **** import, i dont care what you say.. some people dont understand that at all. 80% of the imports i swear are "All Show NO GO" and the other 20 % are either Show Cars or they Race there Cars, at the 1/4 mile not from street light to street light.
