Excursion

SE = 18SX = 21

well if the 9512 is 25 then i guess my HD is also i kno it looks like it moves as much as my rlp did, which is like 24.2
hmm i could have a swore i read a thread today where the se is listed as having 18mm of xmax but is actually closer to 22mm

Is that all? I thought the L7 was supposed to be some big badass SPL driver?
Xmax on my M6 (not an SPL driver) is 16.5mm....

Yes, I know Xmax does not completely dictate SPL capabilities...but it helps.
XMAX does not determine SPL

heh my xmax is 1.5in (eclipse 8812) 38.1mm for a 12in sub, Im just going to regret that if something solid gets in the way...
That's not linear one way excursion. Their "rated Xmax" that they advertise is Xmech, definitely not one way linear excursion.

The 8812's can do around 16-17mm one way linear IIRC.

my bad, I was told it was that by the person who sold it to me. Alright, thanks for correcting me //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

the L7 is kinda 'skewd' due to the t-cut top plate, so Xmax will 'look' lesser, but in all reality it's not.....

and remember, Xmax is ok if you have the current and power to feed it, if you don't, it means nadda, other than bragging rights.

Im not up to par on eclipse modle numbers but if that is the modle with the TC 9 motor it is capeable of moving at least 30mm one way. Ive heard stories of the cone near crashing into the basket...that is just hear-say....

Oh and today i finally got one of my audiobahn AW1051t to move near its electrical limits....twas moving quite a bit. was pretty loud too. Replaced a transistor in my amp so i coud run both chanels.
