Everytime I bring it up to my mom, she either calls my sister a name or makes a snide remark, and that pisses me off and it goes to hell from there.

Well I ended up just going back to my sister's house unannounced. I decided to just come out and be direct. She got a little emotional which I figured, but it seems she is stressed from work, the douchebag's trial is coming up and she has to testify, and she feels lonely after losing a fiance, child, and living in a new city. She assures me she is fine and I trust her.

This is the kind of stuff that pisses me off. ******* is generally caused by depression, which is an illness. How can it be a sin to be sick? And if you really believe in our immortal souls, the pearly gates, St. Peter, etc. then it shouldn't matter whether you ask forgiveness in this life or the next. There is so much that has been called "sinful" over the years, it's rediculous.

I would've just moved to Grand Rapids to be closer to her since I basically have no ties to people where I'm at now, but school started and this is my final semester and I graduate, so I'll hold off for now.

**SOMEONE** is out of touch with reality here. IMO no god should condemn anyone for having an illlnes. However that statement is suggestively reminicient of hard core christian fundamentalism at its best - or at least good old bible belt rhetoric.
