I wonder if its ok to be mean to someone who might be thinking of doing such an act? Personally I think someone whos at that point just might need a good kick in the *** just as much as they need someone to talk to.
Especially anyone who thinks it'll solve their problems, seriously, get real. Earlier on Mileoftulsa pointed out that its a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Thats exactly what it is and IMO, a cowardly way to relieve yourself of responsibilities, not to mention selfish. If anything, its only going to make whatever situation there is that much worst and your family has that much more weight to bare. Thats why its selfish.
Just take shit 1 thing at a time and deal with whatever you need to deal with. It'll eventually get better. As for people thinking they're a failure, you gotta be kidding me. It takes balls to try to do something, regardless of what it is you're trying to accomplish. Its better to have tried, failed, and learned then never to have tried and learned at all. You'll never grow, or learn anything unless you try.
That goes for finances, your personal life, whatever. In the end, those who've succeeded the most have seen the most failure.
Besides, if you still have somewhere to call home, and are able to afford things like a car, the Internet and a cell phone. You really need to re-evaluate your situation, unless you've been living out your car the past few years and have been forgotten by your family and friends, you shouldnt be complaining because im pretty sure other people have it MUCH worst then the rest of us do.
Edit: I am so getting me 1 of those wallets //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
