Huh?then you should have turned if it was clear. whats better, a ticket, which you prally could have gotten out of (for turning on a red) or fixing your car/insurance going up? doubt there was even a cop to see that you illegal would have turned on a red. common sense.
Why would he have to fix his car or have his insurance rates go up? He wasn't at fault. Whoever the guys company goes through would have had to fix his car and the claim would go on their insurance, not his. He will be fine and have all the problems taken care of. I mean, I would have tried to move to if I seen somebody coming up behind me fast, but shit happens.
Least nobody got hurt.
Also no, I have never been hit by a taxi, but have seen many taxi's hit other vehichles in New York city and just drive off, lol! The best one was when a Huge UPS truck just side swiped a car that was parked and didn't even bother to stop. Never, ever will I drive through NYC with my personal car. Always the trains......always!
