Alright so this past Saturday I picked up my friend, I get to the end of his street and the light is red. I got this minivan coming in hot behind me right, now, we were not stopped at the light just yet. I come to a stop and I'm still watching through the rear view. The van is getting closer and should be slowing to a stop. I look to see if I can make the right on red and BOOM!!! What do you know, the sum bich rear ends me. I check to make sure my buddies fine and get out to make sure the other driver is not hurt. This arrogant sob taxi driver was still on his phone (get off the phone and drive for f sake) he fine no injuries. I check and see little or no damage and no one was injured so no biggie. I ask the guy for his info and he gets all ignorant on me, oh no no, there no damage, i sorry, i didn't see you. So after asking him politely to exchange our information with no luck I call the pd and have the police handle the situation. This guy was not able to properly maintain his vehicle on the road let alone speak english. I was hoping he would be cited or something but he got off this time. The thing that drives me crazy, especially since I've only had my license for about a year now and this is the second time a taxi driver has hit me from behind at a red light within a year the first one was on new years eve last year. Some BS. but at least no one was hurt.

i got to "tailgates me" and stopped.

i thought tailgating was when you were right on someones ***?

My mistake, I couldn't come up with a word for it the guy slammed my rear bumper. I did get a little to ramblesome sorry about that.

im sorry, but you've got to be the dumbest motherfucker i know. you watched him in your mirror the whole time, knowing he wasn't slowing down, and you just stayed there. move the fuck out of the way, and if you had no room, next time dont pull so close to the car in front of you if that was the case.

It just pissed me off that this guy hit me, and had the nerve to say I didn't see you when he **** well should have. The guy was driving behind me before I got to the light. How did he not see me? Maybe it was the cell phone, or maybe it was just the fact that this guy has no clue what he is doing. Any driver, beginner or veteran, knows that you are responsible for your actions and when your on the road you effect the safety of the lives of yourself and those around you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

It was a no turn on red and I was the only car besides him. I was thinking about just running it because the guy was going so fast but that's not something i am likely to do.

then you should have turned if it was clear. whats better, a ticket, which you prally could have gotten out of (for turning on a red) or fixing your car/insurance going up? doubt there was even a cop to see that you illegal would have turned on a red. common sense.

Yes. Because its perfectly reasonable to assume that he was gonna not stop and smash into him. For all we know, he could of assumed he was one of those dumbasses who likes to go full throttle to lights and brake at the last possible moment.

Here's the problem with that, for one, the guy should have been paying attention, for two, I shouldn't have to break the law in order to protect myself or my car, and for three, I am still a minor and getting a ticket in Ohio while your a minor is not fun, and finally, how am I dumb or at fault if I was abiding by the laws that are put in place for a reason. Sorry if I drive like an old lady, but, that's the way I do things, by the book unless it is absolutely necessary.

Oh, next time that happens ill just assume that and let them hit me.

GREAT THEORY, douchestick.

yes, you shouldnt have to, but youd rather obey a no right turn on red, and let the guy hit you, rather than turning if you can clearly see the intersection was clear? if it wasent clear to turn thats one thing, but i stilli would have pulled up a little or moved or something, not juist watch a guy rear end my car.
