Escalade bose speakers. Will they blow?

I am looking to get a sound system for my 07 escalade i was wondering if i can buy the subwoofers and keep the original bose speakers. i like listening to Rap/Techno if that helps

You could just add a subwoofer and amp to your stock system, but why not have some nice midbass and tweeters up front? Depends what your looking for!!!

im looking to spend around 800. would thr be a BIG deff between having stock speakers or some aftermarket ones?

I imagine it would really depend on the subwoofer. As in, one entry level 12 (300ish watts RMS) wouldn't require upgraded speakers, but 1,000 watt subs generally would.

bose speakers don't exactly handle watts well. what you could do is buy a pair of components for the front of your car and amp them. you will be quite surprised what a difference it makes to have some watts running to a nice set of component speakers. like said above if you plan on running a lot of watts then you should def think about amplifying your speakers.

i have the same bose speakers in my 2007 avalanche...they ****.. they dont compare at all to the CDT HD62s i had in my old car.

HUGE difference in quality, LOUDness, and all around sound.
