EQ, HU & CD wiring

i have a few basic connection questions.

i have: a sony XRCA 600X HU (yes i still luv my tapes! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif ); sony XDP766EQ; & a sony CDX-757MX cd changer.

questions are:

1) is the "flow" of connections between the three from the CD changer to the EQ & the HU to the EQ?

in other words:

2) Does the bus control from the CD go to the EQ's "bus In"? or "bus out"?

3) Does the bus control from the HU go to the EQ's "bus in"? or "bus out"?

4) does the CD's audio out (left & right channels) go to the "line in" on the EQ? or does it connect to the HU (along with the bus control)?

i'm not sure... i would go from changer to head unit... because the head unit is controlling the changer... are you using the eq with amps? or is it speaker outputs on the eq? u have to run an output from the radio to the eq

wont lose EQ with amps. they are separate units. the amps are a 2 channel kenwood & an alpine for my subwoofer

the HU only has one bus connection (sony unilink). so if i run the cd changer to the HU, how will i make bus connection between HU & EQ? or do i even need the bus connection to the EQ? i'm presuming that i do.

chances are they werent ment to run together. Pick one or the other. Or buy a double din unit that has playback with tapes and CD's

thx john.. doesnt seem they were meant to be connected, but let me ask this:

can't i still use the EQ anyway? by running the audio out from the HU to the "line in" on the EQ?

then of course run the connection from the eq to my amps & then amps to speakers.

just try like was said earlier... run bus out from the changer to bus in on the headunit... then... run an audio out from the head unit 2 the eq... and run the preouts on the eq to your amps

i heard about this unit recently. but it states that "The XA-300 can choose between two sets of auxiliary RCA inputs". i only have one input - the cd changer. so i'm not sure how this would help my situation and what would connect to it coming in & out? have you used it before? or this EQ? i'm curious to know how i could install it to work with my stuff.. so i'm thankful for any help!
