what you guys know aboiut it...?? my question is

i have one of thise....but it doesnt score more than 143 dbs !! i think im way over that with a mmats 3500 and 2 9515''s whit 9 cubes to 35 hz !!

my friend zeuslicious is hittin 155 on epic with just one 15'' and a orion hcca 5000..

so, what you think...the epic have some fail on it...

Hmmmmm..... depending on the setup... that could be close to what you are doing... Did you use that same epic on your buddys? 155 is pretty **** good for a single 15! haha

zeuslicious is running a memphis 4k now. He told me it reads about 1 or 2db higher then when he got metered on a TL. I'm sure you've tried running a sweep right?

yeap, actually i have used many tones....30 hz to 50 hz and the same...no more than 143....as matter of fact, i have used the same music track that he used when he metered that score....

swap his epic for yours, see if there is a difference

Can you answer this questions?

You're at 143, he's at 155. How much louder is the 155 to you?

I can tell you that the difference at 143 and 150 on my EPIC-150 is just an absolutely sick amount.

At 143 it's loud but at 150 everything is shaking, my eyes get blurry and my ears REALLY feel the pressure.

That will give you a rough idea if your EPIC is faulty...

Go get metered with a similar TL model or whatever he uses...

We have one in my wife's car. On music it's about 1-2 db higher than a termlab. On tones it's almost dead on to our termlab. It's fun to have around daily for a close guide line to what we are hitting. I love playing with it on Phil Collins and Prince songs. Probably will use it for a streetbeat run or two this year.
