ok, got a ? i am reinstalling my system in a new truck i have

a jl e4300 440 wat speaker amp

a jl500/1v2 sub amp

a jl 10w6v2 sub in a stealth box

jl tr650-CSi speakers

jl tr400-CXi speakers

clarion dxv945mp deck

boss 3.0 farad cap.

my question when i come off the batt. i have aux. with high ho alternator for plow and aux. lighting do i need to go lower than 4 guage cause both amps require 4 guage and i am going to run both off the same cap cause i think 3.0 farad should be enough or do i need to go zero guage from the battery through tht efirewall to the cap and come off 4 guage

if you plan on upgrading later i would do 0 gauge right now, and then run 2 strands of 4 guage from your cap to your amps. i would personally not use a cap, and split off into 4 guage through a distribution block. in your application i dont think a cap is gonna do anything for you. you would be better off upgrading your stock battery and your big 3.
