I don't like the idea of shaking the crap out of electronics that directly. maybe a separate box that fits underneath and the shelf hovering over it.

It's a measly 8" on a few hundred watts, it's not like you're mounting the PS3 on the subwoofer cone. I've got a 15" that gets up to around 15 mm excursion one way and the remote barely vibrates when it's placed on top of the enclosure.

To the OP, its plain, but looks good. How ya gonna finish it?

Right now im planning a re-design of the system, possibly running the 8" in a 1/4 wave TL, the dimensions are all messed up on the original sketchup, im planning on making a final draft of the enclosure tweaking the simple rectangular box design to encorporate waterfall shelving and a TL in the bottom..
