bench presses, push ups, dips, shoulder/military presses, chin- ups, 1/2 assed squats, stiff leg deadlifts, curls, tricep pushdowns, lateral raises, upright rows, shrugs. how much core work do u see??
if don't correctly with a straight back and feet planted it works them very much. sorry but you have not arguement especially will all the workouts you just named. there is no way in hell that you can do all of those with any sort of efficiency without having good core. i work out with professional powerlifters that never do situps or crunchs and they all sport 6 packs that look like beer belly with their shirts on.

Remember, six pack visible abs are all about diet, good genetics, and calorie expidenture(exercise). A powerlifter can have visible abs, but it all depends on the above and to what degree they use each section to.

And the turkish getup exercise, a 10/10 if you want a total body core exercise. Better than any isolation crunch or situp movement. Not that I am against situps for warmup movements, but they are terrible for the lower back in the long run if they are abused with high volume(too much compressive flexion on the spine).

For those of you who are still on the crunch/situp thing for visible abs, ain't going to happen. Watch your **** diet more closely, do more conditioning(jump rope, boxing, sprints, hiit, kettlebell swings, sports, etc...) with your resistance training. There is no exercise that spot reduces any area, PERIOD!!!

people don't do situps to spot reduce.. well some do but they do it to get the muscle.. cardio and diet will bring out the muscle

your core is the most important part of lifting im 6'2 215lbs and can clean 325 and squat 555...you know why? because i focus all my strength through my core it sounds cheesy but i swear it works //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
