Enough space for 2 12s?

I just bought 2 American bass xfl 12s and wondering if I have a enough space for them. My max dimensions are 38Wx16Tx18L in the back of a 97 explorer. Im not really capable of creating a box but I did just build one for a friend and got it into the back of volkswagon passat a 18" sub. Haven't heard it in his car but in my explorer sounded really good. Now I'm wonder what's the positioning for the subs in the box for a suv? Like subs up and port on the side?

Explorer you said? See my avatar? That's the best way for subs in an SUV.

I get about 6.33 gross volume. So I think you'll have enough airspace....but dam near barely.

like tahoe said up port back normally best yeah u got room, if u tune low u may need 6cf ad with those.. what u gonna run?

Going to run it off a crescendo bc2000. Would like it tuned to 34hz but if I have to I can go bigger. I would like to get the most out of them

No I do not I've looked all over the internet for one and couldn't find any. So I came here for help.

Could anyone get me a cut sheet for the 2 xfl's tuned to 34hz? I didn't really have anymore money to buy one and I would rather build it myself.

Take your pick here... *OFFICIAL* Free Ported Box Plans (56k NO!!) - Dodge SRT Forum ... Adjust some H X W X D measurements to fit your vehicle and you'll get a pretty good one... can you do the math?

Do you need to adjust overall dimensions on one a little for it to fit?...
