Enough Power?

ok im really trying to keep to a tight budget otherwise i wouldnt mind but im planning on purchasing (2) 12 in type r's (Alpine) and now im looking at amps. Im looking into hifonics amps. The BXI 1606D pushes 1600 watts at 1 ohm. Is this going to be enough to push my two subs or do i need to upgrade to a BXI 2006D (2000watts at 1OHM)?

1000 ea for 12s...probally like 1300 ea for 15s i think that amp is overated alot no way its 2000rms

Im looking at the 1600 watt amp and asking if i need to change my mind and pay the extra cash for the 2000 watt amp. Are you saying the BXI 2006D is way overrated?

they probably are both a little overated but i think you would be better off spending the little extra $ for the 2006D youll be alot happier with that amp on them subs....

But when will i ever use the extra 400 watts. The R's are 500 watts rms

its always nice to have headroom on a amp and the R's will like that power...alot of people feed them 1000 rms daily and the R's like the power......

i think the 2400d is a little big. thats my oppion

go with a poweracoustik amp thier nice for the money (keep in mind they are overrated a little but not too much)
